Warranty and Service

  

  • Place of Clocks is an authorized dealer for all brands it offers for sale and each clock is covered by full manufacturer warranty. Warranty conditions vary slightly from brand to brand but all service on all clocks purchased from Place Of Clocks is done in the United States at the manufacturer or their direct representative authorized repair facility. Each clock we offer has unique serial number and comes complete with paperwork you need to obtain warranty service. Please follow instructions enclosed. In order to obtain service, please call first to make sure that the repair you need is covered by warranty and to see if the shipping may be covered as well. If it is the part that is needed, in most cases, the manufacturer is able to ship the part to you free of charge. 


  • All Kieninger and Hermle clocks sold by PlaceOfClocks come with a full 3-year manufacturer warranty for protection against defects in parts and workmanship. This is the most extensive and comprehensive warranty in the industry, which of course is to be expected on these hi-end items made with the highest quality of materials and the best workmanship.

LIMITED WARRANTY

 This warranty is our promise and commitment that our products have been manufactured using the finest materials and have been thoroughly inspected prior to being shipped from our facilities. Floor clocks are warranted to the original consumer or recipient to be free from manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship under normal use, conditions and service from the date of purchase for a period of 2 Years. This warranty does not include: damage to product or components resulting from abuse, accident, alteration, or climatic/environmental conditions; damage resulting from normal wear and tear, misuse, or unauthorized repair; natural variations in wood grain or changes in surface finishes due to aging or exposure to light. The company’s obligation under this warranty shall be limited to repairing the product or component, or at its option, replacing it with a new product or component. A copy of the sales receipt or other comparable proof of original purchase is required to obtain warranty service. Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages or the limitation on how long an implied warranty lasts so the above limitations or exclusions may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights and you may also have other rights which vary from state to state. Freight Damage By accepting our product for shipment, the carrier acknowledges that the product is in First Class condition. By signing (or someone else signing on your behalf) to accept the shipment, you acknowledge that the product has been received in the same First Class condition as shipped. If the carton is crushed or otherwise damaged, instruct the driver to note the damage on the freight bill and file a claim immediately with the carrier. For your protection, we suggest that you inspect all merchandise at the time of delivery, before signing the Bill-of-Lading. When you or your representative signs without noting any damage, shortages or exceptions, you accept and own the merchandise, as delivered.  

Articles – Good topics for articles include anything related to your company – recent changes to operations, the latest company softball game – or the industry you’re in. General business trends (think national and even international) are great article fodder, too.


Mission statements – You can tell a lot about a company by its mission statement. Don’t have one? Now might be a good time to create one and post it here. A good mission statement tells you what drives a company to do what it does.


Company policies – Are there company policies that are particularly important to your business? Perhaps your unlimited paternity/maternity leave policy has endeared you to employees across the company. This is a good place to talk about that.


Executive profiles – A company is only as strong as its executive leadership. This is a good place to show off who’s occupying the corner offices. Write a nice bio about each executive that includes what they do, how long they’ve been at it, and what got them to where they are. LIMITED 2 YEAR WARRANTY ON THE CLOCK MOVEMENT 


Bradford clocks are guaranteed to be free of defects in both materials and workmanship as stated above. This warranty starts from the date of purchase from an authorized Bradford Clocks dealer. Bradford Clock's obligation under this guarantee is limited to repair or replacement at Bradford's option, within 30 days after notification and return of the clock to Bradford Clocks, Ltd., along with a check or money order in the amount of $10.00 to cover shipping, handling, and insurance costs. This warranty does not cover any brass hardware, decorative or functional.

This warranty does not cover any clock which, in Bradford's opinion, has been improperly repaired or altered in any way, or which has been subjected to abuse or accident, or has been set up in adverse conditions (for example, near a source of excessive heat or moisture). The clock must be properly packed and protected to insure safe delivery to our plant. No other guarantees are either expressed or implied.

This warranty gives you specific legal rights and you may also have other rights that vary from state to state.

Seth Thomas Limited Warranty:

Consumer may have more remedies at law than follows: 


Seth Thomas warrants to the owner, this product to be free from defects in material and workmanship for two years from date of purchase.


Seth Thomas shall not be liable for any incidental, indirect or consequential damages whether arising in contract or in tort.


Seth Thomas' obligation (at it's option) is limited to repair or replacement of this product.

Bulova Warranty Information

Bulova/Wittnauer Watch Warranty


COVERAGE: Your new Bulova timepiece is warranted to the owner for one full year from the date of purchase. Your new Wittnauer timepiece is automatically warranted to the owner for two full years from the date of purchase. The warranty covers any and all parts of the watch that may need repair due to defects in materials or workmanship under normal use. Bulova’s obligations hereunder are limited to repair or replacement at its option. The warranty excludes the battery, strap and excessive wear or damage to the case, crystal or bracelet, and does not protect against water damage if the model is not marked water-resistant.


All Bulova Accutron Watches carry a five year warranty.


Bulova Grandfather Clocks all carry a two year warranty from the date of manufacture. The warranty covers any and all parts of the clock that may need repair due to defects in materials or workmanship under normal use. Bulova’s obligations hereunder are limited to repair or replacement of the movement at its option. The warranty excludes wear or damage to the cabinet other than through defects in workmanship.


Bulova is not liable for any consequential or incidental damages, and any recovery may not exceed the amount paid for the timepiece. All implied warranties, including that of merchantability, are limited to one year, or two years with registration, or for two years automatically with respect to Wittnauer and Bulova grandfather clocks. This warranty gives you specific legal rights; you may also have other rights which vary for state to state, so the limitations in this paragraph may not apply to you.

IF SERVICE IS REQUIRED:

Bulova and Wittnauer timepieces have been engineered to provide years of use with minimal need for service. The only regular care demanded is replacement of the battery and checks for water resistance as necessary. In the unlikely event service is needed within the warranty period, first have the battery tested to be sure it is still charged. If this does not correct the problem, send a statement outlining the specific nature of the problem along with the timepiece in a durable, protective wrapping, postage prepaid with a check or money order made out to Bulova Service for $10.00 shipping/handling fee plus proof of purchase such as a sales slip or receipt to:

POST-WARRANTY SERVICE:

Bulova’s staff of watchmakers are experts at repairing Bulova and Wittnauer timepieces. For repairs outside of warranty, a $10.00 charge will be assessed to cover cost of repair evaluation, postage and handling if repair authorization is refused. Post-warranty movement repairs are guaranteed for a period of one year. If more than one product is being shipped, enclose a packing list of the package contents and retain a copy for your records. Post-warranty repairs should be mailed to the address above.

Important Reminders for Warranty/Post-Warranty Service

  • Use registered mail or insured mail.
  • Carefully wrap the timepiece in protective wrapping. Do not send in original box.
  • For repairs under warranty: Enclose $10.00 check or money order for the postage and handling.
  • For repairs outside of warranty period: A $10.00 charge will be assessed to cover cost of evaluation if the repair authorization is declined. You do not need to send money when you return a watch or clock for servicing outside the warranty period, the Service Department will contact you with an assessment

  1. Send your watch or clock via UPS or insured or registered mail with sufficient insurance to cover
    the original purchase price or current market value (in the case of solid gold watches), whichever is higher.
  2. Make sure your complete name and address including ZIP Code appear on the package return address label and are also included inside the package.
  3. Enclose a complete explanation of the nature of the problem so that the correct repairs will be made.
  4. Pack the watch or clock securely to avoid damage in transit. Do not send it in its display box. These boxes are discarded upon receipt and cannot be returned.
  5. IF STILL UNDER WARRANTY: Enclose a copy of your sales slip along with a check or money order made to BULOVA SERVICE for $7.00 to cover the cost of handling, mailing and insurance. (The warranty may be void on products showing evidence of extreme use or, in the case of non-water resistant models, evidence of moisture and/or rust).
  6. IF NO LONGER UNDER WARRANTY: You will receive an estimate, and no repairs will be made until we receive your approval of charges. If you decide not to have the repairs made, a $10.00 repair appraisal and return shipping charge will be assessed. Post-warranty movement repairs are guaranteed for a period of one year.
  7. If more than one product is being shipped, enclose a packing list of the package contents and retain a copy for your records.

Kieninger Warranty Information

This clock has been manufactured using only the very finest of materials and has undergone detailed inspection prior to leaving our factory it is equipped with a quality kieninger movement, which has been thoroughly tested. Kieninger warrants to the original purchaser or defects in material and workmanship under normal use and service for a period of two (2)years from date of purchase. Kieninger's obligation under this warranty shall be limited to repairing the product with new or renewed components or, at its option, replacing it with a new or renewed product.


Kieninger disclaims any liability for incidental or consequential damages arising out of breach of this warranty or any implied warranty. This warranty does not include damage to product or components resulting from abuse, accident, alteration, climate / environmental conditions. Damage beyond normal use, shipping damage mishandling, misuse, or unauthorized repair. The warranty period starts with day of purchase according to sales slip. Warranty claims have to be processed through the seller of the clock. Nothing in the above warranty affects or limits your statutory rights as they may be applicable 

Limited Warranty For Maple’s Clock

Maple’s clock’s warranty for the clocks is one year from the date of purchase. But this general rule may be waived to certain items. Specific warranty information and exceptions prevail over the general rules and the specific warranty information and exceptions are described in the instruction manuals packed with the clocks. A copy of your purchase receipt must be physically submitted together with the defective clock(s) to prove date of purchase. In order for the warranty to be valid, the clock must be unpacked, se-up, hung and operated properly, according to those very detailed instructions.


Maple’s Clock warrants to the original purchaser or the recipient from the original purchaser that this product will be free from defects in material and workmanship under normal use and service for a period of one year from date of purchase. Maple’s Clock’s obligation under this warranty shall be limited to repairing the product with new or renewed components or, at its option, replacing it with a new or renewed product. This warranty does not include damage to product or components resulting from, but not limited to, abuse, accident, alteration, climatic/environmental conditions, damage beyond normal use, freight damage, mishandling, misuse, or unauthorized repair.


MAPLE’S CLOCK DISCLAIMS ANY LIABILITY FOR INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF BREACH OF THIS WARRANTY OR ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY. IMPLIED WARRANTIES ON THIS PRODUCT SHALL BE IN EFFECT FOR THE DURATION OF THE EXPRESS WARRANTY SET FORTH ABOVE AND THEREAFTER, THERE SHALL BE NO WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED (INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR ANY PARTICULAR PURPOSE), ON THIS PRODUCT AFTER ONE YEAR FROM DATE OF PURCHASE.
